Food, coffee, fika
Independent Cafe and Coffee Shop
A little hidden independent café

Minimalistic calm and fika feels, is what we bring to this little peaceful café tucked away on the edge of Sproughton.
We pride ourselves in producing great hearty café classics with a twist. We use as many local producers and suppliers as we can, from Gate Farm eggs of Flowton, Proctors of Ipswich to Butterworth & Son coffee of Bury St Edmunds.

About Us
Lucy and Mat took over the Milk Shed in August 2023. The café was originally Scandinavian in style. When taking the café on they wanted to keep this feel. They hope to bring delicious, seasonal, fresh food, speciality locally-roasted coffee and a little bit of calm to your day!
When you step into the Milk Shed you’ll find hearty classic cafe food with a twist. Breakfast, lunch, cakes, speciality coffee and a pantry of local goodies for you to take home.
From smashed avocado on sourdough, Baron Bigod cheese toasties and a big bowl of homemade soup, we've got your day covered. Our bake counter has both Swedish 'Siliva cake' and Cinnamon Buns, along side giant homemade cheese & chive Scones and sausage rolls.
We welcome dogs to the café, inside and out.

Come and support our little café dream!
